PJ Harvey Scoops South Bank Show Award

P J Harvey's current album 'Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea', scooped the South Bank Show Award in the Popular Music category, beating off stiff competition from U2 & Roots Mauva. The awards ceremony, held yesterday in London, is named after the ITV arts showpiece hosted by Melvyn Bragg, and recognises achievement in all fields of the arts ranging from popular music, literature, opera and dance to cinema and TV drama.
