PJ Harvey Wins Mercury Music Prize
pjharvey.net is pleased to announce that PJ Harvey won the prestigious 2001 Mercury Music Prize Award in London last night for her critically acclaimed album - 'STORIES FROM THE CITY, STORIES FROM THE SEA'.
PJ Harvey is the first female artist to win this award and was delighted to have won. She was unable to make the awards in London but spoke from Washington DC where she is currently with her band on a US Tour. Other artists nominated included: Zero 7, Radiohead, Super Furry Animals amongst others.
